Below is a general listings and descriptions of traditional programs and operational tasks in need of volunteers. Please complete our volunteer form and we will contact you with more information. ENDING THE SILENCE
ETS is a presentation for middle and high school students. There are two roles within the program.
· Lead Presenter – This volunteer presents the educational slides of the presentation. They direct and lead the presentation and help answer student questions.
· Young Adult Presenter – This volunteer is someone between 18 and 30 years old who lives well in recovery with a mental health condition. They share a brief personal story with the students.
IN OUR OWN VOICES
Volunteers present a unique public education presentation that offers insight into the hope and recovery possible for people living with mental illness. Presenters are volunteers in recovery from mental illness.
FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP
Volunteers facilitate these support groups on a consistent basis. Support groups provide a safe space for individuals to share concerns about their loves ones living with a mental illness.
CONNECTION SUPPORT GROUP
Volunteers facilitate these support groups on a consistent basis. These support groups provide peer-led support for adults living with a mental illness.
FAMILY TO FAMILY
Family-to-Family is a 12-week course for families and friends of individuals with mental illness.
Basics is a 6-week course for families and caregivers of children with mental illness.
PEER TO PEER
Volunteers facilitate a Peer-to-Peer 8-week recovery education course open to any person with a mental illness.
OFFICE , ADMINISTRATION and BOARD and COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
We have administrative projects like mailings, Phone operators, Program material organization. There are other operational volunteer positions; serving on the various committees like media, website, volunteer. program organizing etc.
